I only had a chance to eat one piece of candy at Drum Addict, as it was broken up before most people even got to the venue. I feel for the people that paid $15 (it said $10 on ravelinks) and had to leave after only a few minutes. The party itself was going well with a venue fully themed in military decorations. Walking through the door, there was a a huge rotating satellite dish to the left 12 feet off the ground, with camo nets draped over the rafters it rested on. Amber, Red, and Violet lights pierced through holes in the brown netting to create an eerie effect. More lights abstractly colored in a mural of Mohammed Ali on the wall to the right of the 4x4 Fitness Gym. Straight ahead were speaker cabinets and a DJ booth just to their right, complete with huge bombs and SDF-1. Around the corner was a boxing ring stripped of it's corner posts and ropes for people to chill on. An open space filled with Breakers completed the inside of the venue.

Just as I got warmed up, SDF-1 got on the mic and
explained that the police were going to shut down the party because there were minors inside, and the party did not have an all ages license. I yelled "DONT WASTE TIME, DROP THE BASSLINE," but to no avail. The party organizers did not want trouble, and they instructed everyone to leave.
Only minutes after paying $15 to get in, everyone was ordered to leave. Some party goers suggested that the promoters hand $15 to everyone on the way out, but that suggestion was also vetoed.

The party was over.

This officer on the right told me "If I see any more flashes, you are going to regret it." right before I took this picture.

Closer inspection of this photo reveals he likes to have a tight grip on his gun. (Which seemed excessive, since the crowd was peacefully dispersing.)

This DJ never got a chance to spin,

and shows his disappointment.
To make matters worse, we came back to a car with a broken window on a cold night with a 2 hour drive home. I hope this never happens to you, but if it does, I hope that you are with someone as cool and resourceful as my friend Jason. We cleaned the glass out of his car, and sealed the opening with a towel. It was actually warm inside the car on the way home.
