As soon as I had my ticket in hand, I eagerly walk to the entrance gate of Jujubeats. After I made it through the entrance I took a glance at the DJ line-up/time schedule that also had the map of the fairgrounds on it. The first area I walked into was the jungle area, which was area 4, and if you couldn’t tell that due to the outfits than you surely couldn’t mistake the sound. I was already having a good roll and I had only been there for a few minutes. I stayed in the jungle area for a short while. While I was here I had to get as close the front line as possible, so I began to make my way through the crowd which was not that difficult. Once I got to the front line I was really able to focus on the music. When I did that, I could not stop dancing and moving.

After getting a short jungle fix I then began to make my way towards area 3, which was house and progressive house. On the map it didn’t look that far but the walk seemed to take forever. I didn’t see to many outfits that were that were totally wild except for the group of five girls dressed like bumble bees at the entrance of the party. One major thing I noticed was that there was plenty of room to move around except for the designated music areas. Having room is important to me when rolling because I need room to be comfortable but I can deal with the shoulder-to-shoulder scene only if it is where the music is being played. When I finally got to area 3 I heard the sounds of Nigel Richards but his set was almost over. I was fine with that because Nigel really wasn’t doing anything for my roll, I needed fast paced beats. I ended up staying here for a while anyway because I was waiting to hear Christopher Lawrence’s set. As soon as Chris put his hands on the tables my roll increased. From what I heard of Chris’ set, his beats kicked ass.

Also while I was there I ran into one of my friends that I never thought I would see because of the fact that there was oh, I don’t know, only THIRTY THOUSAND + people there. When I saw him he was rolling hard but he wasn’t one of those e-tard, weak-minded rollers. He has a strong mind like me so when he rolls he looks normal. I certainly couldn’t tell how many pills he
was on, so I asked him, he told me he was on two pills at that time. We then hung out for a short while. When we split up I left area 3 and headed to area 1.

On my way to area 1 I made a short pit stop to buy some water. This was another excellent thing about the party because one the water was ice cold which they had chillin in garbage cans filled with ice water, and two the water was only two dollars. My roll was still going well but it was starting to die and since I was having such a good time, I decided to drop another pill while I was heading towards area 1. Area 1 was set up like a stadium with bleachers and the DJ booth was staged at the right side of the area. I remember first entering the area by walking on a thin ramp that led through the base of the bleachers on the underside of it. As I made my way underneath the bleachers and peered through the other side I could hear the sounds of DJ Dan pulsing through my body. The light show that was presented was sweet. The green laser lights were high enough up so that they continued to pierce the sky for as far as you could see. I then continued towards the stage but to my surprise, there was what looked like a maze. There were two giant fences that ran parallel to each other that separated the bleachers from the field. To get to the center of the field from where I was (the bleachers) I needed to go down some steps to my right then flip a bitch (make a U turn) and head straight for a few yards until I reach a large group of people trying to make their way through a doorway about six feet wide. This was a major problem because that was the only way in and out of the area (and after I was through the first doorway I found that the second had the same crowd of people). Once I was in I wasted no time getting myself to the front line of the DJ booth. I stayed here for a while because this is where DJ Dan was kickin down the beat, not to mention the unbelievably beautiful dancers. After enjoying the scene and the music for about an hour, I decided to go back to area 3.

I pulled out my event guide and noticed that I was about twenty minutes late for Donald Glaude’s set, so I eagerly rush as fast as possible to area 3. Surprisingly enough, it didn’t take as long to get out of the stadium, or it might have seemed that way because I was starting my second roll. Once I made it to area 3, Donald Glaude was laying down the beats; I mean he was on fire. My body was moving without me even thinking about it. A girl that I was with ended up dragging me up to the front of the DJ booth because she wanted to see the dancing girls, one in particular. Once I had pushed, shoved, and stepped over people I made it to the front where I saw this dancer. Her body was a perfect hourglass form and there was just something about her facial structure that blew me away, it was indescribable. Seeing her dance and hearing Donald G’s beats, I was having the best time I had ever had at a rave. That single part of my evening or morning was an experience that I never could have conjured up in my head. I ended up staying for all of Glaude’s set and when it was over I just had to sit down. But the only place I could think of was over at the jungle area, don’t forget now - I was rollin - so therefore I wasn’t thinking to well. Maybe I just wanted to finish the party with jungle, that’s it.

Once I finally made it to area 4 I sat down on the grass behind everyone and just enjoyed the music that was flowing with great intensity. I had been sitting for a few minutes when I finally decided to get up and dance some more to jungle because I just couldn’t resist it. It wasn’t the best jungle I had ever heard but it was jungle and I think that’s all I need to say. I began to get a little tired of dancing so what I did was began a quick search for my friends in the jungle crowd. I knew they would be there because they were the hardcore junglists and would never leave a jungle area. Not to my surprise I was able to find them. I hung out with them for a little while and shared the love for jungle with them. I then went back to where I was sitting originally. I sat down and just listened to jungle until six o’clock because I was just too tired to do anything else. I would have to say that this was at the top of my list for being the party that I have attended this year. I would suggest to anyone that is interested, to go to RAVELINKS.com.
