Dear Friends, I would like to thank everyone that made it out to the Sports Arena on Saturday May 27th, for Funky Tekno Tribe. I would also like to apologize to all those who were unable to make it in. As you have probably heard the San Diego Sports Arena denied entry to anyone without a valid California Driver's License. Those with Passports, Military ID's, Out-of-State ID's & Driver's Licenses and California Issued ID's were denied entry, violating our rights and the laws of California. I want you to know that we did everything in our power to alleviate the issue before it became a problem. Unfortunately the ban wasn't lifted by the powers that be (Vice vs. Sports Arena) until nearly 2AM and the damage had been done. They claim it was a simple case of miscommunication but we feel it goes much deeper than that and strikes at the heart of our community. We played by the rules and now it is time for them to abide by the laws that govern all of us. We are going into negotiations to try to settle this matter with honor but if they refuse to make adequate concessions we will be forced to bring this matter to the courts. Anyone who was denied entry and still has a ticket please contact us at industry@dotplanet.com. Please provide any questions, comments or concerns as well as your personal contact information. We intend to fully refund all ticket holders and allow them free entry to our next event. Due to the significant loss sustained at this event I am unable to tell you exactly when our next event will be but rest assured we will not go quietly into the night and this is only the beginning of many quality events to come. Thanks again for making this event possible. Your future support is greatly appreciated; together we can move mountains.
